Mo-Sew Teaching the Cosmos

When the Figel shaman, Mo-Sew, invited me to learn about the cosmos from him, he sat several of us in his house and drew a diagram of the cosmos on his sleeping mat with corn kernels. We returned day after day for two weeks, and each day he would lay out some part of the larger world and tell us stories about it. Mer and Aliman, and a few other onlookers, listened spellbound to Mo-Sew's account of the cosmic realms which, as a shaman, he knew so well.
